TAX INSTALLMENT OFFICE HOURS: From December 2, 2024 – December 10, 2024 the Tax Collector’s office will be open to the public from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

I am pleased ATC is open to the public and busy with new ways to enhance the many services provided by my office.

The Tax Collector lobby is open and accepting in-person payments. I am pleased to welcome taxpayers to the office and provide them with the outstanding customer service for which the Tax Collector is known.

A variety of payment options are available for your convenience. You may submit your payments securely online by electronic funds transfer or by calling (909) 387-8308. Online banking and eCheck payments are completely free and safe. You may also mail us a personal check, money order, or a cashier’s check.

The Tax Collector’s office is open to the public Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:30pm, excluding holidays.

The Tax Collector's office is responsible for the collection of property taxes.

Property Tax Postponement

The program allows homeowners who are seniors, are blind, or have a disability to defer current-year property taxes on their principal residence if they meet certain criteria including 40 percent equity in the home and an annual household income of $45,000 or less. The applications filing period is from October 1 to February 10. Please call (800) 952-5661 or email postponement@sco.ca.gov if you prefer to have an application mailed to you. You may also call our office at (909) 387-8308.

Pay your property taxes conveniently and securely using our website.

FREE eCheck (electronic check) is a digital version of the paper check. The process mirrors paper checks, but is done electronically. The funds are withdrawn from the taxpayer’s bank account (usually a checking account), transferred over the ACH network, then deposited into the Tax Collector’s office bank account. There is no charge to use an electronic check.

To process your payment using a MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or Discover Card, our third party vendor charges a convenience fee of 2.25% (minimum of $1.95) for credit cards. The convenience fee is not retained by the Tax Collector.

The Treasurer's office provides banking services for all County departments who invest in the County Treasury Pool.
Tax Sales Tax-defaulted properties may be purchased through our office via an Online Auction. The next tax sale is scheduled for June 1 – 7, 2024.

Did You Know?
The Treasurer-Tax Collector issues three major types of tax bills: secured for all homeowners, unsecured for any business and personal property not secured by property (e.g. land) and supplemental for changes in home ownerships or new construction. The Treasurer-Tax Collector issued the fifth largest number of secured tax bills in California with over 731,000 in the 2005-2006 fiscal year, which is just behind Orange, San Diego, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties.
